Cultural Center "Rukh Ordo" named after Ch. Aitmatov

"Rukh Ordo" is a one-of-a-kind open-air museum on the coast of Lake Issyk-Kul in the city of Cholpon-Ata.

The complex includes 10 mini museums, including: “House-Museum of Ch. Aitmatov”, “Hall of Kyrgyz Art and Culture”, art and photo galleries, “Sayakbai Karalaev’s Gazebo”, “Treasury of Knowledge” and five chapels, each which represents one of the world's faiths, namely: Islam, Catholicism, Orthodoxy, Buddhism and Judaism, as a symbol of the fact that God is one for all.

Also on the territory of the complex there are exhibitions of dozens of sculptures and hundreds of paintings made in a variety of techniques, handicrafts that were carefully passed down from generation to generation. At the same time, the exhibition fund “Rukh Ordo” is constantly replenished with new and interesting exhibits.

The guide will tell you about everything in a fascinating and detailed way. During an hour and a half interactive excursion, you will not only learn the history, culture and way of life of Kyrgyzstan, but also try to sing, dance the national dance, take part in games, traditions and much more.
